Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi
Transfer to Hotel in downtown Hanoi.
Overnight in Hanoi
Day 2: Ninh Binh: Temple, cycling & short boat trip
Leave Hanoi for Ninh Binh. On arrival we will visit Dinh and Le temple. After visiting to temples we set off a one-hour beautiful cycling through an amazing area of limestone mountains and rice fields. Lunch in Tam Coc. Then transfer to Thung Nang. Take 2 hours boat trip to visit Thung Nang.
Overnight in Ninh Binh Town
Day 3: Halong Bay - Overnight on Junk (Lunch & Dinner on boat)
Leave Ninh Binh early forHalong Bay. Short break in Nam Dinh to visit to Tran Temple. On arrival in Halong City, check in Traditional Junk. If weather permitting, the junk will stop for swimming in quiet lagoon. Lunch and dinner with fresh seafood
Day 4: Halong - Cooking class - Night train to Lao Cai
More cruise on the bay and have lunch aboard before getting back to Halong Port. Transfer back to Hanoi for great time in a beautiful village in Red River Delta, where we will enjoy an interesting cooking class in a local family. After the cooking class we will have dinner with the family. Transfer back to Hanoi for night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train
Day 5: Lao Cai - trekking Sapa
Arrive in Lao Cai early morning. Transfer to Sapa by bus. Having breakfast at local restaurant. Then we start to explore the little town of Sapa on foot. Lunch in local restaurant before taking a short trek to the village of Black H'mong minority people.
Dinner and overnight in Sapa Town
Day 6: Trekking to villages (Picnic lunch)
Leave the hotel at 9 am, we will walk downhill to the Muong Hoa Valley. After 2-hour walking we will reach Lao Chai village. Visit the school of the village. Continue to Ta Van village. Have picnic lunch in a local house. After lunch we walk to the main road for a jeep ride to uphill back to Sapa. Overnight in Sapa
Note: we could buy some books and pens in Sapa and bring to the school as gifts for children
Day 7: Sapa - Hanoi by bus (Lunch en-route)
Leave Sapa around 6.00 am, we will travel back to Hanoi by bus with some stops for breakfast, lunch and refreshment. The journey takes around 10hrs. Evening is free at leisure to explore Hanoi's night life. Overnight in Hanoi
Day 8: Hanoi city tour and shopping time
Half day city tour of Hanoi including Ho Chi Minh complex, temple of Literature and relaxing pedicap (cyclo) tour in the Old Quarter. Lunch in local restaurant in Hanoi.
Afternoon is free at leisure.
Overnight in Hanoi
Day 9: Departure
Transfer to airport for flight home.
